Objectives


The association aims to bring the operators of sensory evaluation (sensory and/or consumer
sciences) together.

  • Facilitate exchanges between members
  • Collect, share and disseminate sensory domain information
  • Promote sensory professions
  • Organize conferences, courses or working groups
  • Build bridges with other structures
  • Undertake any other activity in accordance with previous objectives

The association’s activities are organized in seven working groups whose objectives are

WG 1 – Communication

Leader : Céline Tran

Participants : Florent Perret, Laura Nicolas, Nicolas Seince
Mission : Ensure the association’s communication; ensure management and development of the website; draw up a list of scientific congresses, thesis defenses and short training offers

Mission : Liaise with other sensory associations and manage relationships with institutional partners

Mission :  Set up an editorial committee in charge of publishing methodological manuals

Mission : Facilitate the exchange of ideas between groups;  convey good practice recommendations for sensory scientists in non-food sectors; build a workshop and a research project

Mission :

Investigate methodological themes of interest and offer a restitution of the various exchanges and work conducted to the association’s members.

Currently underway, the VocaConso project aims to develop an identifying method for sensory terms in order to ensure clear, understandable and effective communication with consumers.
